Announcement!!!!

Greetings! It's been a while, but I am back y'all!!! I'm back with a whole new blog. Well one post of a blog. I put a link for it on the right side of the page so you can check it out if you want to. *wink wink* *cough cough*! I will still be posting on this blog from time to time, but the other one will now be my main focus.

Owl Crazy

I had a sketch assignment to do, so I picked owls. I just had to sketch them using different pencils and then label them for which pencil I used. 6B is the highest, darkest pencil. As the scale goes down the pencil gets lighter till you get to HB. Most people use the HB pencil, but it's a nice balance of both the B pencils and the H pencils. My 6H pencil was unavailable, so I used 4H. As you go up the H scale to 6H it get's lighter. I also learned that if the pencil is marked with an F, it means that it is a fine tip.
    Just like they are marked, the drawings are of one pencil each except the bottom right one. I used all 3 on it.

I'm still working on character modeling. I am doing a male and a female. Here's what I have so far.

Progress Report

I got a little more done on him. He's getting there.















I also did a little side project to give myself a break from modeling people. Here's what I came up with.

Tis the season for another competition! That is exactly what I did. Blenderguru.com was hosting another Christmas competition that I thought I would take part in. Here is my piece.



Unfortunately, I didn't win. That's okay though. Each project just gives me more experience as I go along. Plus I learned new skills that made this project better than the last Christmas one I did.


On top of that I am working on my character sculpting and retopping. Quite a lot to learn there, but the community has been awesome in giving me feedback. He's not finished yet, but here is what he looks like.





Last but not least I am learning about how to make game assets. In other words I am concept drawing of a rock. Don't have a picture of that yet, but I will when it's done.
